Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation Board Approves Loan, Sets German Mission Date, Welcomes New Board Member

Lebanon. The Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation met March 12, 2008 at a meeting chaired by Tom Haag.

The Board accepted a recommendation for from the corporation's Finance Committee and approved a $200,000 Small Business Agricultural loan to Todd Propst.

The Board also welcomed Patricia Verdon, Director of Business Development for HACC Lebanon Campus as a new non-voting representative from HAAC.

President Charles Blankenship reported that the week of May 3rd was set for a foreign direct investment mission to Germany. Blankenship said this year's trip will focus on businesses in the North Rhine Westphalia region of Germany. Chairman Tom Haag and Lebanon Mayor Robert Anspach will participate in the mission.

Blankenship also reported that activity from prospective occupants in Lebanon Rails Business Park increased after the Park was designated as eligible for LERTA tax abatements.

Following the Board meeting LVEDC conducted its Annual Report on the Corporation's activities and accomplishments.

The Annual Report Meeting was sponsored by Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc., UGI and Lebanon County Career and Technology Center.
