Engage!
The Engage program is a statewide calling program designed for Economic Developers to meet with the Business community and listen to them share their needs, challenges and successes.
The 2023 annual Business Walk took place this fall on Wednesday, September 20th. The team set out in Annville, dropping by 8 different businesses for an introduction and brief discussion. Common concerns were difficulty recruiting consistent employees.
A second Business Walk took place in Myerstown and Richland on Tuesday, November 14th.
Business Walk: Myerstown
There are 107 businesses in a one-mile radius of Myerstown. On Thursday, July 25th 2022, Susan Eberly and Eve Beamesderfer from Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation, along with Cynthia Picht, SCPa Works Industry Specialist, and Steffan Bomberger from Myerstown Borough teamed up to meet with companies in the downtown area of Myerstown as part of the Engage! Business Outreach Program. Common concerns heard were the need to build a stronger, more vibrant, walkable town and to attract and retain companies and a talented workforce to support the Myerstown downtown area.
