Workforce Training Opportunities

 

• Adult Basic and Career-Readiness Education: HACC’s foundational pre-employment S.T.E.P. Academy includes topics such as resume writing, interviewing skills, applied math, workplace documents and graphic literacy through the WorkKeys assessment/curriculum. Completion of the program results in the National Career Readiness Certificate. Vocation-specific language development courses in company-customized topics like English as a Second Language (ESL) for Associates and Spanish for Supervisors are also available.   

• Corporate Training: HACC offers customizable training for companies to achieve strategic vision and direction. Focus areas and content are appropriate for any employee level, including front line team leads, supervisors and other professionals within an organization. High-demand topics include, but are not limited to: leadership; professional workplace behaviors; communication and interpersonal relationships; team building; and more. Additional certificate coursework is constantly in development to meet workforce needs and community interest.

• Health Career Education Programs: HACC offers a wide range of high-quality, affordable training options for individuals interested in health careers. Programs include:

  • Cardiology Technician

• Manufacturing: HACC offers manufacturing, industrial maintenance and welding courses to help employees and employers reach the next level. Offerings include:

  • AutoCAD

  • Electrical and Electronics

  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

  • Hydraulics

  • Industrial Maintenance

  • Lean Manufacturing

  • Machining, including Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

  • Pneumatics

  • Precision Measuring

  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

  • Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

• Public Safety Training: The Senator John J. Shumaker Public Safety Center (PSC) at HACC provides professional public safety training. Our goal is to provide training in a responsive, efficient and economical manner. Options include:

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

  • Firefighting and Rescue Training

  • First Aid/CPR

• Transportation and Logistics: Students may earn their commercial driver’s license (CDL) or forklift certification.
