Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation Board Met, Approved Loan, Approved Construction Plan, Heard Reports

Lebanon. The LVEDC Board of Directors of the Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation met April 8, 2008 at a regular meeting chaired by Tom Haag.

The Board approved a $200,000 Small Business First loan to John and Sharon Kline. LVEDC Vice President Susan Eberly said that the loan will be used to purchase a farm in the Myerstown area.

The Board also approved construction plans for Lebanon Valley Cold Storage's new facility in the Lebanon Valley Business Park.

President Charles Blankenship and Tom Haag reported on plans for a foreign business attraction mission to Germany in May. Blankenship stated that twelve Lebanon Valley manufacturers are interested in partnerships with German companies. The list of companies will be distributed to counterpart economic development offices in Germany.

Blankenship also reported that the bid documents for construction of Hawk Acres Enterprise Place are completed and LVEDC will soon invite bids from contractors.

Eberly also reported that some minor road repair work is being completed in Lebanon Rails Business Park prior to dedicating Windsor Drive to the township.
